Out and About Vista Transportation Program
Out & About Vista was formed to enhance the lives and promote independence and self-sufficiency among senior citizens of Vista by providing affordable and accessible transportation throughout the community. Out & About Vista is a fun and easy way to take care of everyday needs, such as shopping and banking, as well as to provide opportunities to socialize. Transportation is also provided to various special events and points of interest in Vista. Travel on the 16-passenger minibus is restricted to within Vista city limits and 24-hour advance notice is requested. The program also offers a mileage reimbursement program for volunteer drivers. Transportation is via private vehicle and travel may exceed city limits. Travel arrangements are made between Transportation Coordinator and client. Call (760) 639-6161, 8:30AM to 3PM, Monday through Friday, for information. There is a fee for services.

If so, we may have the right opportunity for you! Our new web-based program allows volunteers to choose their own schedule! Become a driver today and get Out & About with a homebound senior. It’s easy – you provide the ride, we provide the mileage reimbursement and supplemental auto insurance and, most importantly, riders provide the appreciation!!
