The City of La Mesa Rides4Neighbors Program – Helping You Keep, or Regain, Your Independence

Do you know a family member, friend, or neighbor who can no longer drive?

Rides4Neighbors offers safe, reliable, personalized transportation to adults over 60 who cannot drive due to age or disability. Rides are provided by our volunteer drivers who truly care about each and every individual they transport. Our mission is to help you remain independent! Door-to-door rides are provided for essential needs such as medical appointments, grocery shopping, personal care, social activities, and more. Eligible riders must reside in La Mesa or a neighboring east county community, including El Cajon, Santee, Lakeside, Spring Valley, and Lemon Grove. Looking for an awesome volunteer opportunity? We always need volunteer drivers for our Rides4Neighbors program! Rides are provided Monday through Friday during business hours only – no weekends or evenings. As a volunteer, you choose the rides you wish to provide based on your own availability.
